After our ride to Costa Preto, I was tired, but when Umi invited me back to her house in the Heights, how could I refuse? It was an unusual house, all built up on stilts, as are most of the homes in that area, off the Seaway, but with a decidedly Asian design. It also had one interesting feature. A deck pavilion with a boxing dummy.

"Oh, that's where I work out," she told me, "Wanna see?"

When we saw one of the publicity photos that the Carnipelago Aquatic Athletic Association was planning to publish in an upcoming ad for the 1985 water polo season, there were some among us that instantly thought, "Wow. We need to spend more time with this one." So we did.

Another dazzling performance that night high above the ring and without a net. Tramptastic! is not only well brilliantly choreographed, somewhat death-defying, and unusual, it's also very, very sexy. It's no wonder the show is consistently SRO. Kudos to Vala and her sisters for conceiving of this latest offering from the Imperial Treehouse Acrobatic Troupe, and to Emie for performing the most daring parts of it.
